Any advice about lowering ping?

Hi guys!
I see my ping rate is about 90 ms... is there anyboyd speakin' english who could give me any advice about lowering ping? So I'll be able to avoid lag and play with you...

Yes... twice...

1st one was very slow... in fact that's cause I was worried! Actually the guy was from Chile... And we both got a ping higher than 200... maybe more than 210... anyway...

2nd time I was 96 and the buddy (from Poland) was lesser than 20... I played quite fine as host as guest but I couldn't understand if he played well too (I mean smooth and fluent) 'cause he was kinda rookie on the ISS world and he had to go out soon... but I guess the match was playable.

Anyway I would know if u use any way to get a lower ping... so it will be surely more comfortable play altogether. radosny

P.S.:Btw, I see on the client the servers' IPs (f.i.: 193.142.113.130:27888)... so the port is 27888... do I have to unlock it on my router too? Or is it only about the server? How does it work??
